Welcome to SJHT 10th Regular Season Bass Tournament.
What happens when the Bully keeps picking on the rookies? The Rookies eventually fight back with Jackie Chan Force. With the previous days Tornado Warnings and torrential downpours long gone, the Rookies brought there "A" Games.
As SJHT fished there 2nd tournament after reopening at Mercer Lake last week, today 14 of our finest members and 1 guest came out to battle in search of well rested Largemouth Bass of Cooper River.
Catching there first keepers on the season were newcomers Taylor S.. All dressed in his Ninja Gear!!!
and Carlos J.
Way to get on the board guys!!!!
Greeted with scenes like this......
and a mad rush in the AM like this....
Anglers were ready and anxious to get the show on the road....Even this guy showed up....
Without further adieu, please give a big shout out to Jackson *Silent Assassin* F. for taking 1st place and Lunker with 3 Bass weighing 7.69lbs. The Fu Man's Lunker went 2.98lbs. 2nd Place was won by Rookie Newcomer Carlos *Not Rico Swavey* J. with 3 Bass going 7.09lbs. 3rd Place was Andrew Trapper with 3 Bass going 6.17lbs.
Congrats to all and way to bring some Limits to the scales.

Wrapping up the Day and the return to the Ramp:
Summary: Sunday was a day where a lot of bass of various sizes were caught, lost at the boat on the retrieve, and plainly put.....somewhat fun. Action was had early on and pretty much till the very end. 12 out of 14 Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were 5 Limits Caught and 3 (2) Bass caught. All in All there were 25 Bass weighed in yielding 43.06lbs. That gave way to a 1.72lb avg. The Miscellaneous Catfish weighed 3.60lbs. There were plenty sub par 12" Bass caught....which made landing a legal 12"er even more challenging. I personally got bit on the CB within 25 minutes into the Tournament and then got repeated pick-ups on finesse plastics of all different sizes.
Overall, the Cooper River Park proved once again that the Bass population was plentiful. Although not Giant by any means, Cooper River kept us busy throughout the day. Congrats once again to the Fu Man, Carlos, Trapper, and Misc. Winner John P.
Next up is ASSUNPINK Lake in a little over 2 weeks.
Thanks again to all.
Tightlines,
BN06

Congrats Jackson, Carlos and Trap!
Slow day on my boat. Didnt get 2nd and 3rd until after 11am on the main lake. First cooper limit for me in all these years though.
Bonus Video: My small keeeper, but sun caught my line just right. Doesn't come through as good on YouTube for some reason.

Thanks guys, I had my best day out on Cooper ever. Good limit early and found a spot that held double digit number of keepers one after another. It got pretty ridiculous. |

Thank you guys. Congratz Jackson and Trapper.
It feels great to have broken my "No Keeper" curse.
Be safe and will see you all at Assunpink this Sat. |
