As SJHT wrapped up there 14th Tournament of the 2017 Season Up at the always plentiful Carnegie Lake 15 of our finest members came out to battle and gain traction on AOY standings.
and we're off!!!!!
This was my view as the treacherous and sky filled lightening storms passed with a deluge of rain.
The fact that 15 hardcore anglers came out to play even with the threatening skies shows the dedication and willingness to get out the house and just fish.
Without further adieu, please give a big shout out to Jackson *Locomotive Choo Choo* F. for taking 1st place with 3 Bass weighing 8.81lbs. [b]2nd Place and Lunker was won by Joe Rendell H. with 3 Bass going 6.46lbs. 3rd Place was White Mike with 3 Bass going 6.30lbs after a 2lb penalty.
Today's Miscellaneous was won by Dan *Crappie Jon* F. with a Monster 3.99lb Pickeral
Congrats to all!

Beautiful Lake Front Property Shots!
Summary: Today was one of those days that the bass were biting earlier on and even during the latter part of the day. Overall the quality was much better than 2 weeks ago on the Salem Canal where today's avg. bass went 1.72lbs. There were a lot of Bass caught today, however upgrading or even culling to better weights was a tad difficult.
All in all [b]14 out of 15 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 33 Bass caught giving way to a total of 56.61lbs. This was an improvement by slightly over 21lbs from our last tournament where only 29 Bass were caught. This increase in weights gave way to a 1.72lbs per bass avg.. There was an amazing 7 Limits caught..
Overall, CARNEGIE LAKE proved once again to be a healthy and productive fishery. Too bad its so far away for most anglers. Once the storms passed and the weather got a bit more settled in, I believe the feed bag was on from the start as Joe Rendell H. Lunker was caught 1st thing in the morning. Anglers toughed it out finding fish over 12" till the very end.
Next up is STONE TAVERN LAKE. Hope to see everyone next Saturday.
Tightlines,
