Good morning SJHT members.

On Wednesday night Dec 20, 2017, I attended the monthly SJBCA 3rd Wednesday of the month meeting down at the 4th Ward Clubhouse...

Member Turnout was slightly below avg. as we had 14 Bass Clubs reps in attendance.

* Requested clubs submit 3 Freshwater & 3 Saltwater lures for the 2018 SJBCA Fishermens Flea Market.

- Update on the Newton Creek Watershed Association (NCWA) and latest Sampling Test to be reported on between now and the new Year.
* Philly Enquirer article on anglers viewpoints and concerns with pending dredge project both short term and long term.
- Attended Memorial Service for SJBCA Jon's N Ponds club member of Mr. John Weatherby Sat. Dec. 2, 2017. Condolescence and prayers sent to the family.

- Thanks all club members and executive board on a fine 2017 year.
- Thanked those for the preparation for the Christmas food spread, beverages, deli meat\sandwiches, Baked Ziti, Clams Casino, the infamous Wet and Dry BBQ Ribs, along with some spirits thrown in (Thanks Mike Graham!)
- By this juncture, I can't remember too much what BigFred was saying so.... I'll end it there. LOL!!

Executive Board members.
- WMA reporting to Chris Smith- Some reports are still owed. Those clubs should get there reports in and :cc Fred once done.

Committee Reports:
Audit Committee- 2017 committee to include: John Sullivan, Mike Riordan, and Robert Jack
* Above members agreed to perform for 2018.

Scholarship Committee:
- MaryAnne Franchetta, Mike Riordan, and Me.
- Lewis stated that Mid February the new 2018 Scholarship forms and emails will be sent out to existing Central and South Jersey High Schools. A deadline date of May 1, 2018 will be the official due date.

[b]Flea Market Committee:
Coty Camp, Al Franchetta, and Stu Cohen
* Saturday, March 3, 2018 designated as official SJBCA Fishermens Flea Market to be held at the Elks Club in Milliville, NJ.

CLUB Business:
* Weigh-In Trailer- Update on broken Trailer Jack
Youth Fishing Activities:
* South Jersey Kayak Bass Fishing Club has comitted to run the Youth fishing activities at this years event.

* Continue Planning for Fishermen's Flea Market

So in summary and important dates to remember:

* Christmas Party Celebration was fantastic with the food, spirits, and proactive members celebrating.
* 2018 is knocking at our door. I will continue to monitor the Newton Creek Watershed Association meetings and updates. Preparation for the 2018 SJBCA Scholarship and Fishermens Flea Market will begin to take fold.
* Permitting for WMA's and other bodies of water should start to come in as JAN 2018 approaches.

* New SJBCA Officers will be elected come 2018.
* All of our conflicts (1) were resolved back in the November 2017 period.

Any SJHT member is welcome to attend, meet up, or travel down with me to the monthly SJBCA meetings. The inner and outer workings is open to anyone interested in learning more about these meetings.

* Meeting was adjourned around 9:05 pmish
