Anglers Blasting Off!
Today, 17 SJHT members and 2 guest travled back down to COOPER RIVER PARK. With the unsettled weather patterns rolling through around 2:45AM, SJHT anglers lucked out once again to have clear, dry, hot, and humid conditions. Members and guest arrived early and ready to catch there limits. Some did and some like myself caught dink after dink after dink. LOL
Alright....Without further adieu....give a Big Shout out to Dennis *Jiggen Den* T. weigh in 3 Bass going 6.51lbs. 2nd place and LUNKER was won by Matt *Gotta save for the Diapers* R. with 3 Bass weighing 6.11lbs.. BN06's Multiple Dinks caught:
Summary: 14 out of 19 Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 32 Bass caught overall giving way to a total of 52.47 lbs. The avg. weight of each Bass went 1.64lbs. There were 8 Limits caught and 2 anglers caught at least 2 Bass.
So as one can see, the Bass were biting but trying to find and weed the subpar 12" Bass from the Keepers was a challenge. Cooper River Park water temps didn't fluctuate too much. The tidal gate was forcibly gushing water through which made the bite really tough. Anglers scrambled from spot to spot and ultimately caught there Bass by maneuvering all around the lake. With the early morning rainfall, water levels seemed about normal. Personally I lost 2 good keepers and a nice Catfish. Not sure if it would have beat Brian's catfish, but it would have been interesting. LOL
1 More regular season T's to go.
Next up is CONOWINGO DAM next week. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018
