SJBCA meeting notes Wed. 11/17/2010
BigNasty06
Greetings fellow SJHT members and guest. As we approach the Thanksgiving Holiday celebration, I just wanted to update old and potential new members on last weeks SJBCA monthly 3rd Wednesday of every month meeting held at the 4th Ward ClubHouse located down the road from Parvin SP.

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending and submitting our 2011 requested Lake schedule and get briefed on new and old SJBCA business. Below you will find the SJBCA officers and Bass clubs in attendance.

Fred Lentz- President (South Jersey Hawg Hunters)
Joe Hoban- 1st Vice President (South Jersey Bass Stalkers)
Rob Kunze- 2nd Vice President (Cumberland County Bassmasters)
Gary Corliss- Treasurer (4th Ward Bass Anglers)
Al Franchetta- Secretary (Cumberland County BassMasters)
Carmen Bersani- Director 1 (Happy Hooker Bassers)
Mike Graham- Director 2 (4th Ward Bass Anglers)

There were 17 Clubs in attendance.

*Approval of September 15, 2010 and October 13, 2010 minutes as documented in handout.

* Vote on accepting new\old SJBCA Bass club member "Goucester County Bass Club" back into the SJBCA. Jim Cavanaugh represented them.

Officers Report:
* Al Franchetta Reported on Sportsmen's Jamboree- Oct. 2-3, 2010
* SJBCA will begin accepting 2011 members rosters.
* Need to update E-Mail addresses
* Accepting Angler Excellence and Youth activity award Applications.

Note: Bill "The Hammer" Leach for 3 Bass going 10lbs will be submitted for Heavyest 3 Bass Limit for Parvin Lake. Wayne "Moe" Neville, Sr. will be submitted for Heavyest Lunker caught 4.70lbs caught at Assunpink Lake. Typically we always tend to win the 3 Bass Heavyest limit because most clubs have a 5 Bass limit. The SJBCA Lunker award is actually a toss up but you never know...especially if no other clubs submit the forms.

* Tresurer Report: Balance $3,058.00.
* Begin accepting Club dues for 2011 season.

* Tournament Director: Bass Bowl Review (9 Teams participated)
* Suggestions for 2011 Bass Bowl.

* 1st Vice President: Joe Hoban (No update)

Committee Reports:
Audit Committee- Joe Hoban, MaryAnne Franchetta, & Rob Kunze. No committe until next January.

Scholarship Committee:

* Request Lure Donations (3 Freshwater & 3 Saltwater)

CLUB Business:
Youth Fishing Activities: SJBCA members volunteered for the annual Pine Hill Scout Reservation Camp Sat. Oct. 23, 2010. Although not that many fish were caught, scouts had a wonderful time.

* Old Business: N/A

* New Business-
* Open Buddy Tournament and WMA Pick Process.
* Clubs can begin submitting club tournament schedules.

Good of the Association:
N/A
------------------------------------------------------

Next Meeting:
* 8pm, Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the 4th Ward Clubhouse down the road from Parvins State Park.

Some of the items on the agenda will be:

* Nominations for new officers (1st VP, Secretary, Treasurer, Tournament Dir, Directors 1 & 2)
* Continue planning for Fisherman's flea market
* Initial submissions for annual fishing excellence awards.
* Angler Excellence and Youth Activity Award nominations can be accepted.
* "Holiday Party" Food and Drinks!!!
------------------------------------------------

So in summary and important dates to remember:

* SJHT pretty much locked in the dates for our Annual Union Lake Open Buddy Tournament and WMA Lakes.
* The Remaining lakes requested will be reviewed for any potential conflicts. We might add 1 more lake to the 2011 schedule. This would more than likely be in the Closed season down at Lums Pond, Lake Lenape, or a wildcard North Jersey Lake (i.e. Spruce Run Res.)
* Lure Donations can be given to myself and I'll give to SJBCA's Steve Steinmitz from SJHT.
* Any SJHT member is welcome to attend, meet up, or travel down with me to the monthly SJBCA meetings. The inner and outer workings is open to anyone interested in learning more about these meetings.
* Have a Safe and Joyous Happy Thanksgiving celebration

* Meeting was adjourned around 10:20pm

Tightlines,
BN06
