Seems kind of quiet on here since the club T's ended. I have been fishing a few of the winter league opens. The fishing sucks, but its something to do. Surprised I havent seen any of you guys out there besides of course Tboe. |

x2 its gives you a different perspective on some of the normal beaten lakes. You can see the "Alabama Rig" in action, or watch me throw the fruitiest lures on the market, or watch Jackson break fish off on the hookset....
But seriously if anyones interested in fishing a couple theres always room on my yacht.

Haven't had a partner to fish them with, I was thinking of fishing these two this weekend but don't want to fish them alone.

Kyle....Where did you read that? From my understanding, one would have to remove or only have 3 hooks on the rig itself. Although it can be setup to fish\cast with 5 say swim type baits, in NJ, angler can only use 3 hooks.
Similiar to a jerkbait with 3 treble hooks.
BTW... at the Menenatico Bassnj.com tournament, Adrian was throwing the Alabama rig and had to remove 2 of his hooks.

BN06 i read on the nj fish and game website that u are only allowed to use up to 3 hooks at a time. i thought the alabama rigs only came with 5 hooks/swimbaits. either way, i think it should be banned........just my 2 cents |

I thought Fred said that in NJ you can use up to 9 hooks on one rig. They count treble hooks as 3 hooks, so a jerk bait with 3 trebles is a 9 hook rig. I dont like the idea either, but I dont and havent seen it work well in any of our small puddles. It may work at the right time on the river or larger water like Squan.
Anyhow, Winter fishing sucks, I quit till next year. |

Jackson is right on. According to the 2011 NJ Fish and wildlife. 3 hooks apply only in the Deleware, 9 everywhere else. |
