"Pants on the Floor...Hands on the Ground... Hat turned sideways...Looking like a".... Well you know the song!!!

Anyways...that's how I felt after partaking in SJHT 2nd Club tournament of the season. Braving a cold front which brought overnight Temperatures down into the Mid to upper 20's, 18 members and 1 guest ( Jim May) came out to catch a lunker size >15" Largemouth Bass at Parvin SP. The fun began with all launching exactly at 8am. 3/4 of the field headed towards the beach front area, while others including myself messed around leftward of the boat ramp. Since this was my 1st of the year Club tournament, I soon found out that I should have replaced my Co-pilot wrist remote control as my Bow TM was only turning right when I tried to engage the wrist control!!! Go figure!! So, I break out the foot pedal and begin to navigate the waterways. By this time, everyone is in there spot and I see some action coming from the father and son combo, Bill and Justin (aka. BassSteeler). I hear laughter. I see them pretty much giving High Fives all over the place. So, I pull a Bill Lin (i.e. Binoculars) and to my surprise Bill is laughing like "Tickle me Elmo". I continue to fish without even a sniff.

So next up...what comes almost into my boat. The Resident Parvin Lake Huge White Duck!!! He apparentley wanted some of my Doritos (Thanks Bassman)..I see why you enjoy that snack so much. So after signing a few autographs and Tboe Taking a couple of pictures of me and the duck, I shoo him off and he then heads over to Moe's area of fishing. Unfricking Real!!!

Alright...having pretty much thrown everthing but the kitchen sink and finding warmer waters (Where.. You guessed it!!! ) where the laughter and High Fives were coming from. I pretty much just toured the Parvin lake beautiful surroundings. As things were almost wrapping up, Who Do I see, our very own Bassnj.com Jerrod "ReelDeal" making his way towards me. After a little conversation and BS, we both head in and prepare for the weigh in. So that was my day on the lake!!!

My bad... almost forgot. Please give a big congratulations to Bill "The Hammer" Leach for taking 1st place and Lunker with 3 Bass going 10lbs even..with a Lunker weighing 3.55lbs. Second Place was taken by of course his son, Justin "BassSteeler" Leach with 2 Bass weighing 4.52lbs. Third place was won by Keith with 2 Bass going 4.20lbs. Way to go Guys!!! You definitely figured them out!!!

Note: Pics will be uploaded when I recieve later this evening or Monday.

Here's the Tale of the Tape:
www.myfishingpictures.com/data/2/Parvin_SP_Tale_of_Tape-_03-27-10.JPG

As one can see, there were 17 bass caught in all. Only one guy had a limit of 3 bass, while there were 5 anglers that caught at least 2 bass of 15" or more. Having not seen the pics and helping out at the boat ramp, I can't wait to see some of the pictures. Thanks to all members and Jay's guest for coming out and doing battle on a chilly, tough morning. Looking forward to maybe doing a bit of fun fishing during our off week. Hopefully, I'll see some out and about on our local waterways.

In two weeks, we'll be at Sunset Lake and then we'll be on hiatus until our re-opener later on in June 2010.

Congrats once again to Bill and Justin... You guys were definitely having way to much fun!!!!

Tightlines,
BN06
