Wife said I could have a few hours to myself in the morning, but the rest of the weekend I'm going to be tied to the bunny hut, preparing for the feast on Sunday. Maximized my time and headed to Wilson. Place was packed and the water was high. Managed to catch 3 bass and 1 pic. Water temps were in the mid to high 50's on the front half and low 50's in the back half. The bass were in transition areas. Largest went 17" on the Golden Rule and pushin' 3lbs. Felt like I was on TV catchin' her. Cast to a lone branch, saw a swirl and my wacky rig was swimmin' away. Great day to be on the water or just outdoors. Cool thing was all fish were caught on something new (rod, reel, or lure). Happy Easter

nice job troop way to slay them at the Wilson...clap How where the weeds? any pads up yet?

The weeds aren't bad. I would say the water level is up atleast a foot. The weeds were still down in the 3-4ft range. No pads yet. There are some new brush and stickups. I guess the storms blew in some branches. The old dock in the back heading towards the channel only had one piling sticking up about 6" above the surface.

Way to break in the new equipment Troop thumbupWilson is a great lake to fish this time of year. I hope I get there before the spawn ends.

When I got there around 7:30 there were already 4 boats on the water. by 10 there were 12 of us out there. Didn't expect it to be that busy there.
