--------------------------------------------------------
11 straight Days above the 90 Degree mark....and then the mother of them all with forcasted temps going above the 100 degree mark.... SMGDH!!!

What have we done to deserve this?

Keeping with our Post 4th of July celebrations, 17 SJHT members came out to bake in the sun, work on there tans (me included), eat some grub and BND's favorite Banana Pudding (ala BN06 2011 B-Day Jam). There were a total of 17 LMB caught totalling 26.67lbs. This gave way to avg. catch of 1.57lbs per bass. There were 2 Limits of 3 Bass caught. 9 out of 17 anglers brought at least 1 Bass to the scales. Due to the severe thunderstorms rolling through around the 7pm time frame, many anglers opted to come off the water, load there rigs up, and head to the comfort of there air conditioned homes. Little did we know, that the Woodbury area was going to be spared Mother Natures wrath!!! There were a couple of flashes and streaks in the distant sky along with the crackling of Thunder but as I rushed to my vehicle and watched closely the sky's, the storm was quickly gone without a single drop of rain. Always better to be safe than dead!!!

Stewart Lake is always an interesting place to fish. We even had a side pool for the biggest snake-head...which no caught. Anglers reported nibbles all over the lake. I caught my first bass 30 minutes in on a KVD Strike King Rattletrap slow rolled out in the center area. That was followed not too long afterwards by my DS rigged with Fireman Mikes DS weights and a 4.5" worm. Water temps seem to get a little cooler towards the spillway area. The bass seemed to be up and around wood structures with the occassional dink out towards the middle\deeper parts of the water column. As the crack of thunder\lightening lit up the sky, I was hoping the bite would improve. Without the added wind and rain, that never materialized as I high tailed it off the water.

Without further adieu and the official stats, please give a big shout out to Jackson *Revhi* . for taking 1st place and Lunker with 3 Bass going 5.82lbs. 2nd Place was won by Rashawn *BN06* with 3 Bass going 5.31lbs. 3rd Place was on by Al C. with 2 Bass weighing 4.35lbs. Way to fish the Salem Canal Tournament - Take 2nd Place and then rush to this Stewart Club Tournament and take 1st place Jackson!!!! You're an animal!!!!

Hot fun in the summertime.
Congrats to the winners. Nice job Jackson two tournaments in one day and a 1st and 2nd. Did the same bait work at both lakes?

Temp 101 all you guys must have gotten fried. Who gets the prize for most improved tan?

See you guys on Sunday at the pink.

Don't feel bad. At one point I ran into Jackson and Chris N. under the 1st tunnel right of the boat ramp area and I said, "Well hopefully it will blow past us and spare us the rain and wind". Next thing I know, the wind picks up and there's a streak of lightening not too far in the distant. We all scattered like cocka-roaches back to the ramp. I've never seen guys load up there riggs so quickly and be out the water Like the movie "Need For Speed". LOL!!!

Jackson also made the comment about being on an aluminum boat!!! whaaa

Although it was hot out there, at least we had a mild breeze to ease the direct sun effect.

Hope all enjoyed the pizza and Hoagies!!!
