I would guess its good Den. I drove by the big D ramp in Yardley and the water was up a bit but you could launch |

Sorry, missed your post John. We went Wed morning. Fished from 7:00-2:00. Water current was moving fast when we started. Headed towards the bridge to the left of ramp and found there we scuba divers serveying the bridge pilings, so we could not venture under to run back to Dupont area. Fished the area but no luck. Kinda hard to fish with your foot on the pedal constantly. Well to make a long story short I caught one short and that was it! Water level was way up, water temp at it's high when we left was 49.7 degrees. Cold air temps when we started, but of course when we were leaving sun was out and feeling real good. I said to my friend you wanna stay, they will probably turn on, but he said he had enough. We did venture back towards Dupont, but could not get under the last overpass, what else more bridge work with corrugated walkway coming down close to the water so we could not get through. Fished back by the old ramp and thought this may be good because the water was alot clearer, but nothing. Still love that place!!
John, did you make it out?? How's your boat, any progress! I guess Jackson's fishing the open this weekend at the Canal?

Den, I didn't fish much but I didn't get bit. Patch work is great but I'm still working out some gremlins in my motor. Spent most of the morning running around trying to tweak it. I feel like I've replaced everything... Eventually it will be good.
And yes Jackson will be winning at te canal I fixed his steering to allow him to

dont jinx yourself now Jackson lol. this time of the year on the canal it only takes one 5lb fish to make all of the difference out there. i know one thing, the canal is even more muddy than normal my brother said. he works in Pennsville and drives by there every day. he said the water is still a good 1.5ft above normal pool and like chocolate milk lol. good luck out there. |
