Can you say lay the smack down!
Merrill Creek Reservoir definitely is something we're not use to but for some....it just separated the men from the boys!!!
As we come down towards our 2017 Regular Season finale, we've just completed our 16th Event of the 2017 season with 1 more to come.
Merrill Creek Fog rolling in...
Let me just quickly say that Merrill Creek and there Reservoir Staff are second to none. Very courtesy, very professional, and will to open up the gate slightly early to relieve some of the parking on the main roadway into the boat ramp area. Kudo's to Mr. Jim.
and he strikes again....
Without further adieu, please give a big shout out to Jackson *Who's Yo Daddy!!! F. for taking 1st place, Lunker, and Miscellenous winner with 3 Bass weighing 11.47lbs. Summary: Does anyone\anything have Krptonite to slow the FU Man Down??? This is like his 4th straight victory. At what looked like Rob would run away with things in defending his 2016 AOY Title, the Fu Man has come on like Gang Busters!!! He's not only winning but winning with Quality Lunker type bass typically unseen from most of us.
All in all [b]6 out of 8 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 12 Bass caught giving way to a total of 28.23lbs. This was more than a week ago where the same # of Bass were caught but today's weight yielded 11lbs more in total weight. This increase in weights gave way to a 2.35lbs per bass avg.. There was only 2 Limits caught..
Overall, MERRILL CREEK RESEVOIR provided an environment where you had to know how to fish in waters nearing 140' in certain spots. Navigate the grass lines and be willing to pitch\flip in areas where snags do occur. The water is crystal clear and populated with various grass depths. I for one enjoyed the early morning bites and the fact of catching or marking fish in 15' of water and then catching them. There were a total of 4 Smallies caught among the 8 Largemouth Bass. Although the Tape of the Tape is not indicative of the Larger bass caught, Merrill Creek did give up a 5 Plus lber and one over 3.5lbs. I wasn't surprised but the clearness on my Hummingbird 899 CI\SI was really vivid. That's all I have.
Next up is CONOWINGO DAM.. Hope to see everyone next Saturday.
Tightlines,

Nothing like receiving a good old fashioned ass whooping....Awesome run Jackson.
Dan, hell of a bag...you always seem to run into a buzzsaw with those big bags. Great job to Moe also...i had passed that same spot before seeing you with nothing to show.
Congratulations Jackson Dan and Moe!!! I knew Jackson had something up his sleeve that would put him up there! Hey Rob you still are one hell of a bass angler and someone I look up too. Anything can happen. Moe you have been coming in with fish almost every tourn. Congrats to all the fish catchers. I personally did not feel well enough to do the travel part and fish 8 hrs and then have the long drive home. See you all at Wingo
