Daddy said there would be days like this, but never knew today would be one of those days!!! Today, SJHT had 14 members come out to do battle at the Big "U"! Coping with another hot weekend, anglers had there game faces on. Angers arrived bright and early and were pretty much put in even before I arrived. Everyone knows the "U" is known for it great SmallMouth action, well having fished here before, I was hoping the LargeMouth action had turned on. I was totally wrong and now I'm prepared to do a Bill Lin and schedule my retirement from fishing date!!!
Without further adieu, give a Big shout and Congratulations to Brian "Bass Hopper" Suthard for winning his 3rd consecutive club tournament and taking 1st Place and Lunker with 2 Bass weighing 4.11lbs. His Lunker went a Whopping 2.27lbs!! Second Place was won by John N. our very own Weigh Master and only limit of the day with 3 Bass weighing 3.31lbs. Third Place was won by Hal with 1 Bass weighing 2.17lbs. Congratulations Gents!!

As you can see, todays lack of a consistant bite was very much and understatement. Believing on keeping things real, not till the wind started blowing from the South did anglers begin to get a little action. Word on the street is that there were several misses along the lilly pads and thinning straw weed grass.
Note: Before I forget....Nice meeting another fellow bassnj.com member on the water. SwampFox..Good talking with ya and good luck next week Bro!
That is about it ladies and gentlemen. Another tough bite. Only 1 Limit brought to the scales. 6 out of 14 anglers weighed-in at least 1 Bass. Can you say Heat of Summer with barely any wind. That was today's problem.
Hoping for a good Turnout at our 7th Annual Union Lake Open Bass Buddy Tournament Sat. July 03, 2010
