Good evening ladies and gentlemen,
As we prepare for our Upcoming Squan T., keep in mind the additional $6.00 boat ramp fee, removal of gas tank or outboard prop (if you have one), showing of boat/vehicle registrstion, and boaters safety card.

If asked if this is a tournament, the official reply is that "we're just out fun fishing". The rules for Manasquan get a bit funky when there are over 24 boats.

The start time may slip a bit depending on when and how it takes for anglers to put in...so please be patient.

Alright....thats about it.

Hope to see most this Sat.

If the start time slips could we also extened the T for another 20 mins-half hour?

It seems lately that the last few hours of the T's thus far is when the bite turns on anyway

Mike....That is a possiblity however looking at lessons learned from previous Squan's gathering, most anglers and there batteries are pretty shot by 1-1:30pm.

If the morning conditions seem viable and the if anglers are in agreement, we may say go to 2:30pm. Let's see how things pan out. Typically by 2pm, anglers have had enough and are anxious to get back onto land. pray

On another note, Life Vests MUST be worn at all times, even when fishing! Make sure your batteries are fully charged, If you have a hydrometer you can check cells of your batteries to make sure it indeed is getting charged. Some on board chargers will say there charged but you can still have a weak or dead cell or cells that are not taking the charge. Good luck to all and stay safe on the water! Hopefully we can get a 7:00 start. I'll do my best to get there ASAP.
