Less than 2 Days and counting!!!!
Hopefully everyone has had the opportunity to string new line on there rods and Reels, Install there latest gadgets, and last but not least gone over there check list as it pertains to there vessels.
In spite of the weather Forecasted on Friday, I'm really looking forward to getting back out on the water. The winter hibernation should cease as we start spring and our new 2015 season.
For the record, Rob is our new\intrim Tournament Director. Please provide your fullest support and help when needed. Jay and John should continue conducting the weigh-ins with Rob standing in at times.
Please....everyone take there time and drive safely if coming to the Salem Canal Opener. Use your best judgement. With the possible inclement weather, the tournament start time maybe delayed a few minutes but either way, it's at the discretion of the Tournament Director and it's officers.
Tightlines! Come out and have some fun. Those that still have to submit there 2015 dues, please do so.

Its showing 3-5 inches tomorrow. Is the T on no matter what? What if the lot and ramp are covered in snow? |

Looks like they changed it to 1-3 with some rain mixed in for Carneys Point. Will still be sloppy.
I can bring snow shovels for the ramp in the AM...Does anyone have any salt left over in case we need it? Shovel and Salt should make the ramp usable, even if we are a bit delayed. |

Well the time now is exactyly 4:46pm and it is still snow pretty hard in my neck of the woods. I really thought it would have started to turn into Rain by now.
Standby regarding tomorrow's Salem Canal Tournament, an official call\text will be made no later than 8pm tonight. Right now, things are looking pretty bleak!!!!

I am at the canal ramp right now. The water level is normal and the water clarity is actually the best I've seen in a long time. Oh and I don't know about u north jersey guys but there's no snow on the roads down here and what little snow stuck to the grass is gone now cuz it's been raining the past hour. There's no reason to not have the tx tomorrow smh |

What is this a fair weather fishing club? It's going to be 55 tomorrow and sunny. Why the heck wouldn't we fish? |

Relax Tonto. I have about 4"~5" of snow on the ground.

What icing? It has to be freezing temps to ice right? Lows only going to be 34 tonight. Last time I checked 32 is freezing point |

I'm not advocating for a cancelation. I'm just saying I'm not taking a chance with my boat and truck. And my forecast looks the same but I haven't figured how to get the picture to display from my phone.  |

Yeah...tell me about it.
Alright...here is the official call
New start time of 9am for tomorrows Salem Canal Opener.
This should allows those a bit extra time to get on the road safely.
Tournament end time right now will be 3pm unless we revisit this in the AM
Drive safely and see u at the start.
