Rainbow was Tough... BUT I broke my 2011 Basscherry.. With a morning Drop shot bass... Around 2lbs!
Bonus golden rule pic.
Water temps where ranging from 45 to 47 degrees.
Water clarity was about 2 foot stained.
After catching the first bass I continued working the DS from the front of the lake to the creek with no takers. I did work in a megabass jerk that I picked up at Blakewater Sunday! Also with no takers.
Around noon the air temps finally warmed a little, and so did the bass atleast for a fellow angler Who started to pound them with the trap! I watched him bag 3 bass in about 10 casts... I was throwing the trap at the same time and was not getting the same love! Until this solid 2lbs'er smacked my trap in about 4 feet of water!
I worked the trap for another half hour or so with no more takers. By now the wind was howling 1-2 foot chop and I had to go. All and all not the best day i've had on Rainbow, but I was content with my effort! Jimbo

2lb ers are nice anywhere! Way to go Jimbo! What time did you get on the water??? Were the fish scattered or holding near a drop???

Thanks Den!
I fished from about 8:30 to about 1:30! I couldn't tell you if they where scatered early because I only had one hit, but later the fish seemed to be stacked a little... Around where you lost that big one when we fished Rainbow last fall! Jimbo
