and that's a wrap on the 2018 SJHT Regular season Club Tournaments season...ladies and gents!
What can you say? Congrats to the Fu Man on another 2018 Angler of the Year Title . Congrats to Bryson on his 2018 Rookie Angler of the Year and strong end of the year finish.. A big shout out to all of the SJHT members that came out week in and week out to compete and have fun catching bass and Misc. fish. LOL. Couldn't ask for a better group of guys to share the waters with.
Alright....The Wingo seemed back to normal however anglers noted less grass in key areas that were prevalent in the past. Anglers caught tons of Bass. However weeding through non-keepers vs. keepers seem to be everybody's problem.
Today, 10 SJHT members and 1 guest traveled down into Maryland to see what the Conowingo looked like after the massive rain showers from earlier in the month.
Members and guest arrived early and ready to catch there limits. With a calm surface most anglers did catch there limits and had a fun catching day.
Alright....Without further adieu....give a Big Shout out to Brian *SubFish* M. Brian weighed in 3 Bass going 6.56lbs. 2nd place and LUNKER was won by Joe Rendell *Finally in the Money Spot* H. with 3 Bass weighing 5.41lbs.Joe's Lunker went 2.88lbs.3rd Place was won by Rob *Ram1212* M. with 3 Bass going 5.34 after a .50lb Dead fish penalty. The Fu Man took Misc. Pot with a .32lbs Sunny Congrats men!

Summary: 10 out of 11 Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 28 Bass caught overall giving way to a total of 45.53 lbs. The avg. weight of each Bass went 1.63lbs. There were 9 Limits caught . In all there were 16 Smallies caught and 12 Large Mouth Bass weighed in.
So as one can see, the Conowingo Bass were biting but trying to find and weed the subpar 12" Bass from the Keepers was a challenge. Conowingo's water temps did fluctuate depending on where one was fishing. One of the few times where almost everyone caught a limit of Bass. The smallmouth seemed like they outnumbered the Largies. According to some, there were some good Bass lost near or at the boat. This place is a smallmouth heaven. Many times fish would hit and you couldn't tell what it was until it surfaced or it torpedo out the water. Either way....a good time had by all.
Next up is The 2018 (2) Day SJHT Bass Classic to be held at LUMS POND and MERCER LAKE . Saturday & Sunday, SEPT. 15th & 16th, 2018
Congrats Brian on a solid bag of bass for the win! Nice bag and lunker Rendell. Tough one Rob. We need to fish more pickeral lakes. It was good to see so many fish to the scale. See everyone in a couple weeks.
Congrats Brian, Joe and Rob way to finish the season. A Big shout to Jackson on yet another AOY! We have to talk!LOL
Nice finish Bryson on your first year!
Thanks guys. Conowingo should be on the schedule every year, as it is a super fun place to fish, filled with every species you could ever want to tangle with. Catching those high flyin' smallies is an absolute blast. Except when the big ones wiggle off of course! And it was great to see so many fish caught and weighed in for the entire club. Definitely our best outing fish wise, right? The drive is worth it if you ask me.
Another year... another AOY! Congrats Jackson on taking the title!
