Big shout outs to the 15 SJHT members and 2 Guest that came out to battle at Assunpink Lake. My apologies in not being able to come out and play, but I had some vehicle mechanical issues to deal with. Saturdays tournament marked our 11th Club Tournament of the season with 1 more regular season tournament before the end of the season Bass Classic.
Without further adieu, give a big congratulations out to Big Al *The Joker* C. in taking 1st place with 2 15" Bass weighing a total of 6.07lbs. Second place and Lunker was won by Wayne *Moe* Sr. with 1 bass weighing a Whopping 4.70lbs! Third place was won by 2nd yr. Member Rob *Ram1212* M. with 1 Bass weighing 2.62lbs. Way to get through the smaller fish guys and bring some bass to the scales.
Assunpink Tale of the Tape:
Note: Other pics will hopefully follow once Big Al comes down from the clouds and forward them onward!!!
Alright....word on the street is that the Pinks water and grass lines were really different this year. Apparently, the water had the color of Woodbury\Stewarts Lake consistancy. The grass beds were really closer to shore vs. spread out towards the center sections. Anglers reported catching multiple 14"~14.50", while some caught some nice chunkers in the 13" range. The Lunker of 4.70lbs supposely was pushing around 21"~22" on the Golden ruler. I'm hoping the picture will be forwarded and posted.
Other than that, Assunpink lake has once again made our AOY 2010 Candidates finale that much more important. Nothing like the whole kit and kaboodle coming down to the last tournament at Farrington Lake in 2 weeks! Good luck to all and I hope to be at the Finale (Late Flight) willing.
Tightlines,
