Temps warmed up to 95 degrees in the shade. Water Temps: 89.7 Degrees Water Clarity: N/A Wind Gust: 5-10MPH. Best Lure: N/A Depths fished: N/A Limit: 3 Bass ---------------------------------------------- Welcome to Event#11 at the Salem Canal. On Saturday, 7 SJHT anglers came out to battle on the Canal. With the weather forecasted to be close to 100 degrees, anglers were not too thrilled about the still stagnant heat. The Canal this time of the year like other heavenly pressured SJ bodies of water can be very tough getting a bite. Add the heat and High Humidity with barely any breeze and you have todays results. Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to *Rob SunBurned down to the core* Masterson who took 1st and Miscelleanous by weighing in 3 Bass weighing 6.65lbs. Rob's Lunker went a nice 3.70lbs. His Miscellaneous Catfish went 1.94lbs. 2nd Place and Lunker Bass was won by Dennis Jiggen Den Tolentino with 2 bass going 6.60lbs. His winning Lunker went an impressive 4.58lbs. 3rd Place was won by Brian Caught my 3 Bass McCulley with 3 Bass going 3.66lbs. SALEM CANAL TALE OF TAPE: Rob's 1st Place Bag of 3 Bass at 6.65lbs: Jiggen Dens 2nd Place and Lunker winning 2 Bass at 6.60lbs: Brian's 3 Bass 3rd Place winner at 3.66lbs: Other Anglers Bass: Trappers Lone Keeper at .91lbs : Scott's 2 Keepers going 2.50lbs: Bill's 1.41lb Miscelleneous Pickeral:** Summary: Fishing the Salem Canal can seem and feel tough on the psychy and on the body. Not totally sure on the pattern or anglers experience as I haven't spoken to most. Long story short... It was Hot as BLLs and anglers couldn't wait to get off the water. In All, 5 out of 7 SJHT Anglers* caught at least 1 Bass. There were 11 Bass caught overall. Salem Canal gave way to total of 20.32lbs caught overall. The avg. weight was 1.85lbs Overall.... Only 2 Anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit. Congrats to Rob, Jiggen Den, and Brian on your performances. Next up is D.O.D in 2 weeks.
