Warming up sporatic blue bird skies and clouds around 90 Degrees. Water Temps: 78.5 degrees rising to 83.5 Water Clarity: 1.5'~2.0' Wind Gust: 5-10 MPHs Best Lure: spinnerbaits, crankbaits, Ned Rig, and finesse worms Depths fished: 2.5'~5.0' Limit: 3 Bass ---------------------------------------------- Welcome to round #9 of the SJHT 2021 season where 11 members came out to battle at the PINK. The Pink always presents its challengers with the Min. 15" Requirement. Anglers reported some some sub par 15"ers caught but for the most part alot of sub 12" fish caught. Anglers at the start headed in the typical "Y" Direction from the boat ramp. Some near the Island while others went towards the back creeks. With water and air temps pretty stable, anglers were getting bit early on including myself. Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to 1st place winner *Rob Ram1212* Masterson] on his winning bag for weighing in 3 Bass going 6.73lbs. 2nd Place was won by Joe Catching Bass Reed with 3 Bass going 6.59lbs. 3rd Place was won by Brian SubFish McCulley with 3 Bass going 6.20lbs.. Overal Lunker was won by BN06 with one going 4.06lbs. . Misc. was won by Dennis Jiggen Den Tolentino with a PICKERAL going 2.68lbs. ASSUNPINK LAKE, TALE OF TAPE: Rob's 1st Place Winner: Joe's 2nd Place bag: Brian's 3rd Place winner: BN06's Lunker Winner: Jiggens Den's Misc. Pickeral Winner: Other Anglers Bass: Fishing Troops Bag: BN06 Nice Crappie: Summary: ASSUNPINK LAKE was a grind today. A portion of the members barely got a nimble, while some were able to cull later in the day. With the water levels seemly up from the previous weeks rain and that right grass being found, the bass for me were active early. Caught 1st Bass less than 30 minutes in and then my 2nd Lunker one another 30 minutes. Loss an even bigger one another hour into the contest. Should have retied from the 1st 2 Bass. Oh Well. That 3rd bass would have allowed me to claim victory but it broke my line horseing it out of the Grass. In All, all 8 out of 11 SJHT Anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were 15 Bass caught overall. The ASSUNPINK LAKE Bass gave way to total of 33.49lbs caught overall. The PINKS avg. weight was 2.23lbs. 3 Anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit. Another decent turnout coming off a 4th of July Holiday the previous week and another Heat wave beginning. Congrats to Rob, Joe R., Brian, and BN06 on your performances.
