Welcome to SJHT's 15th official tournament of 2025 where 2 SJHT anglers came out to compete at Mercer Lake. Still Recovering from post-op surgery and needing to test my progress, I asked to fish from the back of our 2025 AOY, Ironman, and as of today, Lunker Champion, Dennis *Jiggen Den* Tolentino boat and outside of the terrible weather, It was a success. Thank you my friend and the Birthday Cookies were delicious.
Let's Go!
So with just 2 anglers.... This will be the shortest report ever. LOL.
Please give a big congrats to Jiggen Den on taking 1st place and Lunker with 1 Bass going 1.36lbs. There was No Misc. caught on this day so that went back to each of us.

BN06's Dinks caught on this rainy, soggy day:
Pre-Birthday Celebration from the Blu-Claw up in Burlington, NJ
Summary: So taking the weather and the conditions out of the scenario, Mercer Lake always seems to produce. As anglers, we're use to fishing in the rain, but on a Sunday and with the start of the NFL football season kicking off, I believe anglers just woke up and called it in. Between work, family, and kids responsibilities, I get it but a day on the water, for me, still beats a day in the office.
Me and Jiggen Den were getting bites, but they were of the dink variety. We each caught 2 dinks a piece with some being barely bigger than the lures we were using. There were No Dragon boat races going on but there were some High School aged scullers out on the water practicing. All in all, we litterally had the lake to ourselves.
So this week we had 1 keeper size bass weighed in. The total weight of all bass was 1.36lbs. That gave way to an avg. of 1.36lbs. 1 out 2 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were No limits weighed in. .
Congrats to Jiggen Den, and BN06 for coming out and giving it a try on what would be looked at as a Miserable rainy, chilly day.
Next up is our end of regular season Finale at DoD Lake next week.
Tightlines,
BN06
