Summary: The weather was ideal with a stiff breeze at times. Air temps were very ideal. Newton Lakes Bass activity was good although the Bigguns were hiding from us.
So this week, we had 13 keeper size bass weighed in. The total weight of all bass was 21.17lbs. That gave way to an avg. of 1.63lbs. 6 out 6 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. NEWTON LAKE was calm for the most part with the occassional breeze and varying water color. High Tide came in around 6:30am from the Dam area. That's where the earlier bites came from but once that died off, anglers had to go to other spots in their book of tricks. Smaller size bass were caught but nothing massive. As the morning went on, Bass were still biting but every so often. Anglers reported losing some good ones as they wrestled them to the boat, so that's how the day went for many.
Congrats to Rob Masteron, BN06, Bill, and Trapper on your performances.
