Thanks in advance to the new owner of Gloucester County Awards and trophies out of Total Turf in Sewell, NJ, Robert Glass who quickly sourced and created this years plaques and awards. I know with his schedule and jobs already in the pipe, it was a bit hectic working on our orders, but he got it done under time and within budget.

Well that right there ladies and gentlemen is a wrap.

The 2026 SJHT season is officially finished!!! On what has been an up and down season for many SJHT Anglers, our 2026 AOY Rob *Mr. BassNJ.com* Masterson had a great season himself. He not only won AOY but also had the 3 Heaviest Bass caught down on the NorthEast Flats, MD. Rob unfortunately wasn't able to fish our season ending 2 Day Bass Classic, but his patterns were emulated and tested on both bodies of waters.

We had 8 SJHT anglers qualify for our end of season Bass Classic, but only 7 were able to make it out over these last 2 days.

It always seems that we're battling the remanents of tropical storms or hurricanes this time of year. Not to fail, we had a crasy 40+mph NorEaster storm the weekend before where we had to push things off till this past weekend. So fast forward. We held Cooper River on Saturday and replaced the Squan on Sunday to Newton Lake with already scheduled events on the Squan.

Cooper River greeted us with cool air temps and a slight breeze but comfortable. Anglers quickly disperse to so called prime areas. Dam area, along the shorelines, and down towards Cuthbert Blvd. areas.

Once again....my hat goes off to all of the members that came out week in and week out to compete, bust some stones, win a couple of $$$, and just enjoy being out on the water amongst one another.

These guys are the epitome of putting in work on the water and excellence in character.....not too mention represent the Best of the Best Year after Year!

Alright....let's get to this weekends 2026 SJHT 2 Day Bass Classic. Today, 7 out of the 8 Qualifiers descended upon the Cooper River Park where it's a winner Take all event and the coveted 2026 SJHT Custom Bass Classic Championship Belt.

Although there were alot of cookie cutter size Bass caught and culled, anglers reported sporatic bites as the earlier threat of rain blew in.

There were a total of 12 Bass caught giving way to a total of 21.86lbs. 5 out of 7 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. We had 3 limits caught. Day 1 Lunker went a solid 2.52lbs and was won by Jackson *The Assassin* Fu 4th place runner up to the 2026 AOY. . The overall avg. weight went 1.82lbs. Anchored by that Lunker Bass, Fu was in 1st place heading into Day 2 with 3 Bass weighing 6.85lbs. Dennis *Jiggen Den* Tolentino hung in on Day 1 with 3 Bass weighing 5.79lbs. His lunker went a decent 2.44lbs.

So with the weather forcasted to rain late morning Sunday and onward, anglers were bracing themselves for another cool and rainy day.

On this day, due to the rain and chilly air temps, we only able to hold our Pizza lunch, anglers at least got there belly's full after the weigh-in thankfully delivered to the boat ramp by Nicks' Pizzeria on Cuthbert Blvd in Haddonfield, NJ. It's always one way to get food where it's needed. Just ask AI. LMAO
