I'll be there regardless. Sas is my favorite river in the upper cheasapeake. No matter the conditions there will be fish brought in. There are lots of fish there. If the water is super muddy or running hard we will just have to figure the fish out. The fish have to eat every day so that means they can be caught. |

Yup, luckily I was on the list at N&B in Bordentown. They had me in Mon and out Tues AM. I was impressed.
I dropped mine off on Monday the 21st. Called them yesterday and they said I was next but they couldnt work on any boats cause it was raining..... No boat again this weekend but as always I'll find a way To be there
That sucks Dan. I had to call n&b last month to get on the waiting list so don't beat yourself up over how fast they did it for me. However, they did get mine done before the rain came because they too can't work on anything in the rain. I gave them until Friday also. |

I just called Anchor Marina, Sassafras Harbor Marine Yacht and I'm waiting for Duffy's to answer.
Anchor Marina is a little high and muddy with a little debris but boats were launching this AM. I know this doesn't concern our TX but was curious what was going on up the way as well.
The woman from Sass. Marine Harbor said the water level was not too high, little debris and there was a boat launching as we spoke. She said the west side of the bay got it much worse than the east the last couple days and it was her opinion that we would be fine.
I will try to get Duffy's on the horn this AM and see what they say. I too don't want to make a trip for nothing but from talking to 2 out of 3 marinas so far so good in my opinion. |

One more update...just spoke to http://www.sassaf...
He is right by Duffy's. He said he was out yesterday. He said river is clear all the way to Turner's Creek. From Turner's to the Bay there was small wood debris. He said he was still on plane and steered through it so nothing big and small amount.
He mentioned the debris is from the CONOWINGO when they open the flood gates at the dam. He said they had opened it two weeks ago and there was major debris but that is all gone now. He felt that was part of the reason for the little debris this time because it all got cleaned out two weeks ago.
After talking with that guy, I am sold that we will be all right. I'll be there.

Last update, Spoke with Duffy's by phone and email. Their ramp is fine, not under water and no debris. Water is murky, but can't have everything. Below is the email:
Good morning,
We have had higher tides the past two days but today it is normal.
The water is murky. I have not seen any debris in the marina.
Hoping this helps,
Marcia |

I spoke to my friend that has a place down there. He's not down there this week. He pretty much suggested calling Duffy's or a couple places to see what they say. He did say he saw a couple videos of the North East and it was way up.
Just saw that a couple of the tours on the North East are cancelled because of debris and water levels

Haha, I am not worried about that Kyle. I just don't want people to not show up for nothing. Figured I would try to ease other's concerns so we have a decent size field, that's all.
I am following you all day also Kyle. |

In order to follow me u have to keep up Rob lol. That 150hp on my 17ft boat moves pretty good. But seriously tho, everyone needs to pay attention to the channel markers cuz 10ft to the wring side and u will be missing a lower unit lol. Hey at least if one of us gets stuck we have an incoming tides lol |

Way to keep up on the updates guys! I know the lady at Duffy's is probably like, "Will you guys just man up and come on down and get some". LOL!!!!
Decent weather on Thursday and Today Friday, even with the slightly murking waters (like we're not use to fishing the Salem Canal), I'm practicially flipping over anticipating your day on Saturday. I know it's been a while, but back in the day when I use to post up on the Bass fishing Homepage and researched The Sassassfra Fishing Reports, there use to be some good, reliable information posted there. This is the weekend to really get after them!!! Remember all your safety gear, contact phone numbers (in case of emergency), and look out for other Marina boats moving about. White Mike watch out for those invisible wakes and keep your bow towards the wave(s).
Don't be surprised if there is a BN06 sighting!!! Hmmm!!! |

Nice reports guys! Thanks for all your phone calls to Duffy's and Anchor Marina. We are still starting at 6:30 not 6:00! Just to give everyone that extra 1/2 hr. to adjust to the new place. Like BN said be sure to have and wear you life jackets when running, and have a number you can call if you should need help. My cell # is 610-457-4526. See you all in the a.m. Livewells must be checked by someone before launching.

Pete was out there today also. Hes using a Uhaul rent a truck to tow his boat lol. Didnt run all the way to Sass. Water was normal height or maybe a hair high but nothing was submerged or anything. Water was very muddy, but fish got to eat right lol. There was plenty of debris, but it was avoidable. |
