17ft with a 75, she should squeak out 42-45mph solo. A friend of mine has a really light 16.5' skeeter with a 75 and it does 42-45 with a ton of gear, him and my large self in it.

Tho i did look up the specs on the boat. Unless NADA Guides is wrong that baby is HEAVY for a 17ft boat. It should be very stable though thumbup Hope You get out on it soon, ive had my new ride since september and havent been able to run the big motor yet whaaa

Man am I a jerk, I have never even been on that site. Probably should have checked it before I bought and sold the boats haha.

Hoping the same for you. That is much longer to suffer than I have had to!

I read that boat with a 120hp does 46-48mph riding solo. So maybe ~40mph with a 75. No matter what itll be way faster than the tracker lol.

Check out bbcboards.net as well. Stupid amount of useful bass boat information there.

Rob, I would expect your boat to top out at about 35-38 mph with a full tournament load. U won't have the fastest boat on the water but that's a HUGE upgrade from your previous boat. Also it will be so much more stable in rough water. That speed doesn't sound like much but on the water that's pretty quick. I know that another member has a newer 17ft glass boat with a 115hp and it tops out at about 44mph with a full load

Thanks Dan, I'll check that site out. Always looking for good sites like that.

Yes, even though it is only a 75hp it is still a huge upgrade for me. I was thinking that Tboe has a 75hp (or close?) and that boat flew (at least enough for me). 35-38 is a lot faster on the water than the road for sure.

Kyle, the day your brother and I fished Hopatconk we were both looking at each other wondering if we were going to make it back haha. I know I don't have to tell you that feeling. Hopefully in this boat I won't be in that hairy situation again.

My boat has a 110 and I only get about 40 on the gps. But it's ten years older than yours. I just think my boat is too damn heavy
