Welcome to this years SJHT's 19th Annual Union Lake Open Buddy Tournament. Happy 4th of July weekend. On day forecasted with Temps to rise into the low 90's, 24 Boats, with a total of 47 Anglers[/b] came out to win the ORIGINAL SJHT Bass Fishing Belts!!!
This leads me to the extraordinary turnout and participation in Saturdays, July 2, 2022 event.
Great turnout for a 4th of July weekend. I hope the small refreshments and nourishment provided made your day on the water that more enjoyable.

Let's give a big congrats to this years 2022 New SJHT 19th Annual Union Lake Open Buddy Tournament finishers.
1st Place winner of Vinny Pustizzi & Timmy Nichols 5 Bass weighing 16.69lbs $672.00
2nd Place Team Howard & Lori Brown 5 Bass weighing 11.56lbs $403.20.
3rd Place Team of Larry & Parker Wenzel with 5 Bass weighing 8.48lbs $268.80
Lunker winning Team of Mike & Mike Copely Jr. with Lunker weighing: 3.90lbs $240.00
Anglers and there catches:
1st, 2nd, 3rd Place and Lunker Champs:
In Summary: 18 out of 24 Boaters caught at least 1 Bass and weighed in. There were #6 of DNW a Fish and may have released them before coming to the scales.
There were a total of 67 overall Bass weighed-in totaling 118.80lbs. That gave way to an avg. of 1.77lbs. There were 65 Largemouth Bass weighed in and 2 Smallmouth Bass weighed in. As one can surmise by the Tale of the Tape, there was a total of 7 Limits brought to the scales. We had 3 bass die. Although we did have setup our SJHT High Efficency Output 100 Gallon Oxgenated Holding Tanks with Rejuvenade. On a Hot, lack of a breeze, Sunny 92 Degrees day, this was deemed as very successful.
Anglers reported losing some nice Bass close to the boat as they tried to haul in. Some anglers caught them in there normal Summer hang outs however catching that kicker Bass seemed very elusive. The total caught this year compared to last year was a tremendous increase. in slight of the reduced number of anglers.
Congrats to the prize winners and all that came out and supported the 19th annual SJHT Bass Fishing Club Union Lake Open Buddy Tournament.
Thanks again to all who came out on this 4th of July Holiday event. I know you could have been in a million and one other places but we're just appreciative to all who showed the love.
