---------------------------------------------- Welcome to our SJHT 5th event of the 2023 Season where SJHT anglers traveled down to Anchor Marine to fish the North East River, MD
Unfortunately, I couldn't make this event due to being out of town....so
Let's get to it.
On Thursday, 9 of SJHT finest and 1 Guest came out to battle on the upper Chesapeak Bay to catch the motherload. This place typically produces nice size Bass along with decent Misc. species. From the anglers that caught Bass, there were some good quality Bass caught.
Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to Jackson *Luv the NE Flats* Fu on winning 1st place and Lunker by weighing in a Bag of 3 Bass going 10.88lbs. Fu's Lunker went a decent 4.10lbs. 2nd Place was won by Rob *A little short* Masterson with 3 bass going 9.41lbs.3rd Place was won by SJHT Veteran Mike Del Monico with 3 Bass going 6.99lbs. Misc. was won by Eric *Mr. Catty* Carrocci with a Catfish going 4.99lbs

Summary: Cliff Notes version. On what seemed like a another beautiful day on the Flats, anglers catching activity seemed consistant.
There were a total of 16 Bass weighed in. They gave way to a total of 45.98lbs overall. The avg. weight was 2.87lbs
Overall.... 3 Anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit. 7 out of 10 Anglers caught at least 1 bass.
