Summary: Carnegie Lake always seems to be hit or miss. There were a ton of cookie cutter size bass caught throughout the day. Anglers got nibbles right away. If this was a sub 12" Tournament, than we could have tons of bass weighed in. Unfortunately finding that elusive kicker Bass seemed to the struggle for most anglers, no less a limit.
Most anglers caught Bass right out the gates. Like everyone else, I felt positive on not only catching keeper size Bass, but easily getting my limit. Initially the Bass were out in the open, deeper sections of the water columns. As the sun rose, they tended to relocate to the more shady, lily pad ridden areas. They were not there early in the AM but as the traffic and sun rose, that's where they were relegated.
So this week we had 14 Bass weighed in. The total weight of all bass was 23.64lbs. That gave way to an avg. of 1.69llbs. 6 out 6 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. There were 3 limits weighed in. Fish were caught throughout the day. All in all, a very active day on Carnegie Lake
No where to anchor up along the floating dock
