A big Shout-out and Congratulations to John Nestore formerly of Gloucester County Awards and Trophies who has been a friend and partner over my last 18yrs of creating the awards, plaques, belts, and numerous other projects for SJHT.

Well that right there ladies and gentlemen is a wrap.
ASSUNPINK Lake sunrise:
The 2025 SJHT season is officially finished!!! On what has been an up and down season for many SJHT Anglers, our 2025 AOY Dennis *Jiggen Den* Tolentino had a record setting season himself and battled to the very end. He is the reigning Back-To Back-To Back- To Back 4x Ironman in not missing a tournament in 4 years.
We had 8 SJHT anglers qualify for our end of season Bass Classic, but only 6 were able to make it out over these last 2 days.
It always seems that we're battling the remanents of tropical storms or hurricanes this time of year. Not to fail, we had storms off of the Atlantic coast that brought changing conditions but no rain during our event.
Assunpink Lake greeted us with cool air temps and a slight breeze but comfortable. Anglers quickly disperse to so called prime areas. Dam area, along the shorelines, out in the middle and of course near the Island.
Once again....my hat goes off to all of the members that came out week in and week out to compete, bust some stones, win a couple of $$$, and just enjoy being out on the water amongst one another.
Congrats on another back to back to back SJHT Iron Man Jiggen Den fishing in All 16 Tournaments in 2025.
See Stats in the Displayed Stat Sheet.
Congrats to SJHT's Top 6 Anglers:
Jiggen Den, Bill Leach, Jackson Fu, Davbid Snedeker, Rob Masterson, and Andrew Trapani
These guys are the epitome of putting in work on the water and excellence in character.....not too mention represent the Best of the Best Year after Year!
Alright....let's get to this weekends 2025 SJHT 2 Day Bass Classic. Today, 6 out of the 8 Qualifiers descended upon the Assunpink Lake where it's a winner Take all event and the coveted 2025 SJHT Custom Bass Classic Championship Belt.
Although there were alot of cookie cutter size Bass caught and culled, the 15" min. requirement proved to be the difference maker on Day 1.
There were a total of 8 Bass caught giving way to a total of 21.24lbs. 4 out of 6 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. We only had 1 limit caught. Day 1 Lunker went a hefty 3.85lbs and was won by Jackson *Cowboy* Fu 3rd place runner up to the 2025 AOY. . The overall avg. weight went 2.66lbs. Anchored by that Lunker Bass, Fu was in 1st place heading into Day 2 with 3 Bass weighing 9.11lbs. Dennis *Jiggen Den* Tolentino hung in on Day 1 with 2 Bass weighing 5.60lbs. His lunker went a decent 3.60lbs.
ASSUNPINK LAKE Day#1 Tale of the Tape:
Jackson Fu held a strong lead with 3 Bass going 9.11lbs. on Day#1:
[b]Jiggen Den caught 2 Bass going 5.60lbs
Bill Leache's 3rd place Day 1 standings: 4.31lbs
BN06 1 Keeper went 2.22lbs:
David Snedeker's 1.62lbs Pickeral
So with 67% of the field with 1 or more Bass, anglers still felt confident as Day 1 came towards an end.
So with the weather forcasted to rain Saturday night into early Sunday morning, anglers really didn't know what to expect with the CANAL murky waters.

Day 2 at SALEM CANAL...NO PAIN... NO GAIN RIGHT!
and here we go! /b]
There were nearly the same number of Bass caught on Day# 2, a total of 9 Bass caught giving way to a total of 12.03lbs compared to 21.24lbs on Day# 1. All 4 out of 6 anglers caught at least 1 Bass. We had 2 limits caught. Day 2 Lunker went 3.18lbs and was won by Jackson Fu. The overall avg. weight went 1.34lbs. Anchored by that Lunker Bass, Fu's Day 2 ended in typical Fu fashion with 3 Bass weighing 6.34lbs.
On this day, we were able to hold our Pizza oagie fest, anglers at least got there belly's full after the weigh-in thankfully delivered to the boat ramp by Penns Grove "Italian Kitchen" who's Pizza and hoagies were delicious. It's always one way to get food where it's needed. Just ask some locals.

Summary: Congrats to Jackson Fu who put together 2 Days of great fishing to cull both days and win another SJHT Bass Classic Belt and pot. Fu, you definitely put the hammer down on Day 1 and sealed the deal on Day 2. Hell, you didn't even need to show up but I respect your competitiveness.
Season Recap: There were 171 bass weighed in totaling over 334.39lbs. Decent 1.96lb per bass average.
