Veteran Member Posts: 697 Joined: 09.11.09	Fished my Pa. club today in the oven temps.! Wow it was hot!!!! I managed a win with 4 fish for 9 lb. 7 0z. My partner had 2 for 6 lb. 4 oz. His lunker was 4 lb 12 oz. Fished from 6:30 - 2:00. Normally we fish till 3:00, but due to the heat we ended hour early. Small 4 inch worms, brush hogs, and of course jigs for me. Coming home on I-95 I feel my Suv shaking a bit and look in the mirror and see my rear seat on the boat shaking a bit, and think that maybe something got stuck to the tire and was causing the shaking. Then it stopped and everything was smooth riding again. I get home and I'am backing into the driveway and my wife yells at me to stop. I get out and look at my rear trailer tire and long and behold my tread detached from the tire and wrapped around my axle! but the tire never went flat! now I'am riding on steel belts on a fully inflated tire! Unbelievable! Time for new tires. Also getting new ones for the Skiff, boy it's always something. Jiggin Den Can't wait for Cooper

Veteran Member Posts: 697 Joined: 09.11.09	My boat is just going on 7 yrs old. Yes I did have a spare, but didn't have to use it, because I never got out of the truck till i got home and was backing up, that's when my wife started yelling stop, there is something wraped around your axle, which was the entire width of the tread that ripped off! The tire still had all the air in it to boot! I did not try any drop shot, but will definitely next time. We caught lots of dinks too, so never really wanted to change our tactics. Jiggin Den
