My New Favorite beverage:
The old Union Lake "Switcha Roo". Well, that's what I would call it. Union Lake has historically been known to be very windy and down right brutal on the days that SJHT has fished there. On Sunday, it was the total opposite. We had Blue bird skies, the wind was barely registerable, and it was down right Hot and the fishing was a bit tough. Anglers got on them early and then the bite died down a bit.
Before I get ahead of myself, SJHT would like to thank all of the members that came out and our 2 guests Kelly and Bill C. It was a pleasure having you spend the day with fellow Hubby Rob aka "Ram1212" nd fishing buddy Jiggen Den!!
SJHT had 15 members and 2 guest come out to do battle on Union Lake. There were 9 Smallmouth Bass and 7 Largemouth bass caught giving a total of 16 bass overall. The total weight netted 26.08lbs giving an avg. weight of 1.63lbs. There were only 2 Limits caught however 10 out of 17 anglers were able to weigh at least 1 Bass. Anglers reported having an earlier bite out in deeper waters. All were in agreement that no particular patter was really developed.
Without further adieu and the official stats, please give a big shout out to Jay *SmellyHooker* N. for taking 1st place with 3 Bass going 4.64lbs. 2nd Place was won by Layne *Basser995* E. with 3 Bass going 4.32lbs. 3rd Place and Lunker was on by Chris P. 1 Bass weighing 3.57lbs. Nicely done and well played men!!

Congrats to Jay on taking 1st Place, way to go Jay!!! Layne, I new you were gonna do good you just had that look on your face! LOL Thanks for loaning me your life jacket. Congrats to Chris on a nice chunk lunker! Me and my guest had a helluva time just trying to get bit. I didn't have a hit the hole day! We ran from spot to spot, and finally my guest Bill caught a smallie just shy of the 12" mark. oh well I finally figured they must be in deeper water, so I headed to 12-14' and that's where he picked up the short. We had to leave early because of an emergency at home. I would ask if anyone would share any info on there day, but forgot, that someof you may be fishing the open next week. I will definitely not be there. Good luck to all. Sorry BN but I cannot help on this open.
