-----------------------------------------------------
Where shall I begin. Well after a full month of not wetting a line and being with my club members, my mental IQ needed a day to get out and take in the sights and the big girls.
Before I continue, a Big Thank you goes out to my SJHT Tournament Director Jiggen Den and fellow club member Rob "Ram1212" for helping out during my absence. Way to take the ball and run with it Jiggen Den!!
Okay...where was I? I can't leave out the 13 outstanding SJHT members and 2 guest members Sue and Chris N. for coming out to play amongst the only club launching out of the Northeast River-Anchor Marine today.
Someone once said a picture is worth a thousand words or as Warren Wolk would say....the proof is in the pictures biatches!
After starting off the 2014 SJHT campaign somewhat slow, the 2013 AOY, Classic Champion, and 1/2 Tag Team Champion, Silent Assassin has spoken and brought his Game face to the Northeast River today.
Sneak peek...

A lot of Records and personal best were broken today.
Without further adieu, lets give a big shout-out to all who came out and took the day off to get some down on the NorthEast River and Susqhanna Flats.
Taking 1st place and a SJHT All Time Lunker, Jackson *Silent Assasin* Fu brought in 3 Bass weighing a total 15.70lbs along with a Monster Lunker going 6.81lbs. Man oh Man!!! Putting his own level of work in on the back of Trappers boat, give a big shout out fellow Kayaker Layne *Basser995* E. on taking 2nd Place with a personal best of 3 Bass going 13.51lbs. Way to go to all who caught Bass today!!! For the number crunchers out there, 12 out of 15 anglers today caught at least 1 Bass. There were 8 Limits. We had a total of 26 Largemouths and 2 Smallies caught yielding a total weight of 95.04lbs. That gave way to a 3.39lb average.
Totally awesome Day to all!!!
See you all in 2 weeks for our next Club Tournament at the Conowingo Dam.

One hell of a bag Jackson. That lunker must have been something.
Congrats to Trap and Layne for some really impressive fish also.
I had my limit by 8am but didn't cull until 12pm. I caught more fish than i have ever caught there but could not find any size. I will have to do some fun fishing down there so i can explore a little more. Was nice being able to run a bit for a change while there though.
See you all at the next TX. |

Thanks guys, wish I would have had more sucess on Sat, but 500 boats made it tough to find a spot. Congrats to Lane and Trap, great bags. Its a timing thing down there. I was culling out 3lb's most the day until the big girls showed up. We caught over 30lbs of fish in less than 2 hours and had 2 5's on at the same time at one point. It was my best day down there by far with a couple personal bests. |

Last night at the SJBCA meeting, I had the opportunity to chat with Chris Smith and he also said the place was a zoo for both Sat. and Sunday.....Thus us getting on the water on a Thursday proved to be a good thing.
Jackson...I was wondering how you and Chris N. made out? With that many boats and the sparse grass in the normal places, I can just imagine how tough it was out there. Way to stay down there and compete!!!
Any fishing plans for anyone this Memorial Day Weekend?

Way to stress the scale everyone. Once again I failed at fixing my motor so I drove in circles and pouted like it would magically fix itself. Finally Caught my one keeper and a bunch of shorts following right behind like 4 boats on the way back to anchor.
Saturday was a definite zoo. My sassafras t guest tommy and I fished one area for hrs in the morning without a bite. After running around With nothing in the well we stopped there again on the way back to weigh in and stuck a 4, a 3, and lost another 4 within 15 mins lol. Definitely more fun to fish than the local puddles here. I'll see everyone next Saturday in some shape or form

Sat was tough, every where you went there was at least 5-6 boats in the exact spot you wanted to cast. We squeeked out 5 fish for almost 14lbs, but it sucked. I actually prefer not to have grass, it forces the fish into certain areas. I did find an open spot with the most beautiful green grass but there was not a fish in it. From the 4000 boats there, I did not hear of a winnng bag more than 19lbs. The front and flood on friday changed the bite greatly. |

I was there on Sunday and it was pretty much the same thing as Saturday. I ran into a couple of different people that usually do good down there, but skunked, besides myself. Same thing, 1/2 dozen boats or more on spots. There were people waiting to get into the abandoned marina, which by the way is now under construction to be an operating marina again |

I truly believe this past winters weather and that days condition really made things tough for most of the field. Way to hang tough Jackson and Dan!
Hopefully that motor situation will get worked out Dan.
