Another 11th year in the books and fantastic turnout!!!
First off I would like to say I hope everyone had a safe 4th of July Holiday weekend celebration.

I would also like to thank this years 2014 SJHT 11th Annual Union Lake Open Buddy Tournament Sponsors Jeff Sr. & Jeff Jr. along with the entire team at "BlackWater Sports Center" located down in Millville, NJ
http://www.blackw...enter.com/ . Your generous Door prize donations and Lunker prize was a major hit with all anglers. I can honestly say the anglers appreciated this and I did also.
Another 2014 long time SJHT supporter and partner when it comes to designing awards outside of the typical box is Mr. John Nestore of Gloucester County Awards and Trophies for there donation of our 2nd and 3rd place 2014 winners plaques.

Union Lake has been our lone Open Buddy Tournament for many years and incorporating that sunrise adds a nice touch. Thanks Gloucester County Awards and Trophies!
Secondly, I have to give big props to all my SJHT Helpers for not only coming out to fish event, but to also aid in the registration, livewell checks, boat# paddles, weigh-in, food, and really assisting me from beginning to end of the tournament. Bob Van Sciver, Dan *Crappie Jon* F., Bill *FishingTroop* C., Joe *JRBassPro* H.; Jay *SmellyHooker* N., John N; and Joe Reed .....
and can't forget fellow SJBCA members and friends of SJHT Al and Maryanne Franchetta recording the weigh sheet.
Thank you so much once again. You really took alot of the extras off my plate and the cooperation is greatly appreciated.
In spite of the warm, sunny, and 15-20mph winds, anglers came out to battle for our 4th installation of this years 2014 SJHT Open Buddy Tag Belts and they did not disappoint.

another great and outstanding 2014 SJHT Union Lake Open Buddy Tournament. Today we had 23 boats register to fish and battle the ever hot sun beaming down overhead and windy white cap conditions.
The Heat and wind beating down on these anglers was painful sitting and watching from shore!!!! However these guys battled to the end quite literally.
Without further adieu give a big shoutout to the team of Kurt Deuter and partner Darren Brooks of the BRRC crew. for taking 1st place with 4 fish weighing 12.01lbs. . Second was won by the team of Mike *RodBender* Yocius & Mike Netter for the secondy year in a row. with 5 fish weighing 11.06lbs. Not to be outdone, Last years Champion of Woody and John Franchetta took 3rd place with 5 fish for 8.86lbs. The Lunker award and prize was won by our 2nd place winners Mike Yocius and Mike Netter with a 5.25lb pig of a bass. Congrats Gents and to all that came out in support of SJHT and putting on a decent event.

Great rport and pics to go along BN! Seemed like the wind actually worked in the anglers favor even though it was strong, I know that sunny +still can be pretty tough there in summer.
That lunker was a pig, nice to see some smallie action in the mix too. |

He's been on the DL waiting for Rubin Amaro to call him back up. LOL!!! Just kidding.
Back problems and kids baseball duties calling. He's thinking after the All-Star Break he'll make a come back.

All apart of the love of the sport and club Bob. Whether we break even or not, the point that everyone has a good time and have been willing to take time out there busy Holiday schedule is paramount.
I will say I was hurting once I got home and literally fell asleep sitting up in my chair. I was toasted having not slept in over 24hrs. But I'm good to go now.
