Round 3 of the SJHT 2015 Season took place at Union Lake in conditions reminiscence of the Deadly's Catch, Alaska "The Last Frontier", and GRIMM all in one!

If you thought the conditions at Assunpink were tough, then this weeks Day on the Water at Union Lake could be described as King Kong meets Godzilla!!!

14 of SJHT finest anglers came out to redeem themselves from last weeks tough bite at Assunpink. The Bass did not disappoint and it appears the Fu man is trying to make up for dollars forfeited at other bass events.
Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to SJHT angler Jackson *Silent Assasin* Fu. for taking 1st place with 3 Bass going 11.81lbs. His personal lunker went 4.75lbs. 2nd Place and Lunker was won by rookie member Derrick "Come Get Some" B. with 3 Bass going 7.41lbs. Derrick Lunker went 4.88lbs. 3rd Place was won by Brian "SubFish" McCulley with 3 Bass going 5.97lbs. Way to hang tough men in those crazy, windy conditions.

UNION LAKE Tale of Tape:

Much better than last week!!
Other Notable catches:
White Mike and his limit:

Jiggen Den and his Limit:

There were 6 Limit brought to the scales.. 7 out of 14 anglers weighed at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 20 Bass weighed in totalling a whopping 43.15 lbs. This gave way to an avg. weight of 2.16lbs.

So in summary, The Fu-man won AGAIN!!!! However this was a much better showing as a whole compared to the first 2 weeks of the early season.!
Once again, I would like to Thank some of the finest Club members one could ask for. These men came out in conditions which would have made most turnover and go back to bed. I know because I had those same thoughts... LOL!!! JK!! The intestinal fortitude and swinging for the fences was on display as 1 by 1 anglers tried there best to get a Bass in the livewell. Word on the street is that Jackson is the BASS Whisper as he definitely was shining today. Newcomer Derrick B. is slowly making his mark felt. We can't forget the Pickeral winner in Chris "BigShow" P. in wrangling in a hefty 3.69lb snot-rocket.
Once again, UNION Lake made us realize that mother nature is King. Although the weather air temps were suitable, the wind almost made things unbearable.
Next up is PARVIN SP. After some Trolling motor steering cable repairs, I'm planning on being there. Let's close the NJ Bass Spawning season on a High Note and get ready for the Big Girls.
Tightlines,

Congrats Jackson on very impressive win. You are the man! Congrats Derrick on your bag, and welcome to the club. Way to go on some nice fish Mike! Like BN said congrats to all who fought that brutal wind, myself included. I got soaked coming back from the dam area off to the left. My trolling motor could not handle the wind so I fired up the engine and walked my way back with rollers coming in over my bow and seemed like someone was throwing buckets of water right at my face! Needless to say I was drenched from head to toe, cold and tired, but stuck out the last 2 hrs trying to cull but that never happened.

I started to come find you and make you famous with some on the water ad lib but my Trolling Motor Steering Cable broke outside the gate hold. Needless to say, My day was over by 12:30pm.
