CAN YOU SAY BLOW-OUT TIDE!!!!

Launching at 6am and supposedly High tide around 8am prove to be key as many got bites earlier on but as the Southerly night before winds blew down the Sussaqahana, it came the Northeast region un-usually very shallow and quite frankly dangerous for those even familiar with this body of water.

On Thursday, 14 SJHT anglers ventured out for there Round 7 of our storied 2015 season. The morning up till 9amish seemed alright but once word got out that local anglers including some Hook This members were caught up on sandbars and needed assistance, it kinda changed things up for those trying to strategize and stay focused. Let's just say, No one and I mean no one has ever seen the areas outside of Furnace Bay and creek channels outside of Anchor Marine such that we experienced.

Moving on...

Doing his typical thing and widening his 2015 AOY push for greatness, Let's give a big congrats to SJHT angler Jackson *Ain't No Half Stepping" Fu. . for taking 1st place with 3 Bass going 9.59 lbs. 2nd Place was won by the *See Me Now.... See Me Later* angler who makes his appearances memorable Jimbo *I'm Still Alive Son* M. with 3 Bass going 9.40lbs. 3rd Place was won by Dan *Just call me Sea-Tow, 911, Coast Guard Cutter Crappie Jon* F. with 3 Bass going 7.77lbs. Lunker was won by that Kayak Club Multiple AOY's Champion Layne *Basser995* E. going 4.77lbs.. Congratulation to you men as you proved to have the right pattern, bait, and location when they were biting real good!

There were 4 Limit brought to the scales. 7 out of 14 anglers weighed at least 1 Bass. There were a total of 17 bass weighed in totalling an amazing 48.26lbs . There was 1 Smallie Bass caught. This gave way to an avg. weight of 2.84lbs.

Congrats once again to the Bass catchers and a special Thank You goes out to Dan *Crappie Jon* F. for not only assisting Brian *Bass-Hopper* S. with an out of the water boat but sticking around to High Tide that evening around 7:15pm. YOU ARE THE MAN!!! and I personally Thank You!

Rob...great job launching the boats on time and setting up the weigh in. I can't remember a day on the Flats where the water levels change so much where even pleasure boaters were kicking up MUDD. Never saw the boat ramp so low when loading back up. Fantastic job SJHT for hanging tough and communicating issues.

Next up is the[b] SASSAFRAS RIVER PART DEUX EVENT out of Duffy's Marina in another 2 weeks.

Tightlines,

Jackson is dominating like a dominatrixGrin Congrats! Jimbo slips in and slips out with a nice bag. Way to go guys. I see it was as tough down there as it was on the Susky.

Congrats Jackson, I think you invented the word unbelievable!LOL Congrats Jimbo on 2nd place! Never give up!! I could not get bit out at Furnace bay area! Saw Jimbo, and Dan out there. Way to go Rob I know it felt good to have 3 in the well! Nice lunker Lane! and boy you always find a smallie! Real nice of you Dan to stick around till high tide and help Brian get his boat. What time did you head back out to get it? That tidal water does a number on me. Should I be here should I be there, first 2 of incoming, last 2 of outgoing.???????????

I want to thank Dan & Jackson for all their help during the tournament. And especially Dan who went above & beyond, I can't thank him enough for staying until 8pm that night. He's one hell of a guy! Thanks Dan again! Plenty more to talk about but really just don't feel like it. LOL. Congrats Jackson on the win, Jimbo for 2nd, Dan for 3rd & Lane for lunker. I'm so glad Dan got his limit even after using up all the time helping me during the tournament. Once again thnaks Dan, I cant thank you enough. thumbup

jackson
Thanks guys. The low water made it tough to navigate, but it pushed the fish into obvious spots. Im sorry I couldnt do more Brian, it was very nice of Dan to stay and help. Let me know when you want to get out there for an electronics lesson lol.

Crappie Jon
No problem Brian, after all, in the long run its just a friendly club tournament, not the bassmasters. I knew I had the best chance of being able to help with my tin boat that doesn't draft much water. Would do it again anytime, not saying u should make a habit of it tho for ur sanity.. Lol

See u guys at the sass

Congrats Jackson, Jimbo, Dan & Layne!

My day started a little slow but once i figured out what they wanted from me I caught my 3 by 10:30ish. I also had a monster cat fish which may have been one of the best fights I ever had. No 4 or 5lbers but still had a great Thursday, cant wait for next year.
